January Meeting

Sustainably Responsible Investing: Are you sure its not profitable?

How can we invest sustainably? Is it possible to make a profit with sustainably responsible investments? Or do we have to wait another 10 years before we can align our money with our values?

Guest Speaker: Kyle Scrimgeour - Core Capital

Topic: These aren't easy questions to answer, but Kyle Scrimgeour of Core Capital will not only tackle the topic, he'll be making several touchdowns as he gets you past your pre-conceived ideas about profitability being mutually exclusive of sustainably responsible investing.

Many know successful investment depends upon identifying targets which can provide a good return, and everyone's got their theories about what makes a target good.

Mr. Scrimgeour will reveal the link between the environment and the economy and how that link impacts on how companies actually perform.

Mr Scrimgeour is the principal advisor of Core Capital Management , managing member of One Green Place, LLC (an online environmental research and analysis company) and a managing member of the Environmental Asset Fund, LLC ( a company that invests in securities and businesses with a bias towards environmental consciousness). He holds a MBA in finance from Lindenwood University and worked at Morgan Stanley. With 14 years of finance, business and investment management experience, as well as owning two businesses in southern California, he describes himself as an Environmental Economic Therapist®. www.core-capital.net
